Global Warming
Today in class we talked about Thinking globally and acting
locally. We learned that the statement means that if you want to help the world
then you should start off by acting locally. An example of this statement is
making your own gardens. When you make your own garden then not as much trucks must
be transporting fruits and vegetables to the grocery store because you would already
have your own food in your backyard, and by not using the trucks we would not
be using gas and that could help with pollution which could help to end global
warming, even though we would have to still do more than stop pollution to end
global warming. Now by acting locally you are thinking globally. We learned
that at the global scale, encompassing the entire world, geographers tend to
see broad patterns.
