Review of Site and Situation

Today in class we went over more about site and situation, but we also made up some questions that could be on out test. We went over that situation will help you find an unfamiliar place by using a familiar one, you could do this by using landmarks. We also went over site and an example of site is how close Harford County is to Baltimore. This is good because now we can get imported goods from the Harbor quickly because of how close we are. Another example is Singapore, this is a good example because Singapore has a lot of Jobs because they are the center of trading and goods from Southeast Asia, so that allows for a lot of people to have jobs. After we reviewed Site and Situation we made up some questions that could be on the test. Some questions asked could be, what does Topography have to do with a map? The answer to that I it shows the elevation from sea level and shows graphic features on that map. Another question that could be asked is, how are the Peters map and Mercator map accurate? We said that the Peters map was more accurate in terms of showing the actual size in continents and regions, however the Mercator's map is accurate for the ships because it shows the lines at sea.
