Review Day

In class today, we didn't really do any work, but we went over the questions that could be on the mid-term. Some of the questions on the test could be about cartography, site, and location. We talked about Greenwich time which is where the prime meridian runs through and the main spot of the time zones. There are 27 different time zones and GPS stands for Global Positioning System. We looked up how many people are in the world and there were 7.4 billion people. After we talked about the multiple-choice questions we talked about the essay question. So, we talked about the different stages and what countries are in those stages.

Review Day

We had a sub today in class so all we did was make quizlets and looked all our blogs over. For my quizlet I looked over all my tests and after i finish copying the test questions onto the quizlet I am going to look at the blogs and then through my notebook. Then, i am going to look at all the diagrams and maps on the blog and try to memorize most of them. After the quizlet is done i am going to study the quizlet as much as i can so i can do well on the exam.

Review

In class today, we got our pop quizzes back and we went over all the answers. Then we talked about how we were going to have a unit test on Monday next week. The test is going to be only multiple-choice questions and it will be on all this unit, for example birth rate, death rate, life expectancy, and many other things. After we talked about the test we went over some exam questions, the questions were more about what we were going to have to do during exams and what we would have to bring, but we talked a little about the exam questions. For example, one of the Essay questions would be on the graph of the world, and there would be 100 multiple choice questions. After we talked about the test and exams we just hung out until the bell rang.

Pop Quiz

In class today we had a third pop quiz. The quiz was on the Hans Rosling video and the data on the stages of the world. When i took the quiz i knew some of the questions on the video but i knew none of the answers to the data questions. I think i didn't really know the answers to the data questions was because i didn't write them in my notebook so i dint really know the answers to them. After the quiz we looked at the chart again and this time i wrote own all of the stages, stage one is when the birth and death rate are both high an the natural increase is stable or has a slow increase. Stage three is when the death and birth rate are both falling, but the death rate is falling slower then the birth ate and the natural increase is slow increase. The highest stage is stage five, this stage has a low birth and death rate, but the natural increase is stable or is slowly decreasing. After we reviewed the stages we talked about the exams, we were told that there would be 100 multipl

Demographic Transitional Chat

In class today, we looked at a chart that measure the rates of different countries. The chart also shows when countries are transitioning from one stage to another. Some examples are Germany, Italy, Kenya, and India. Germany and Italy have a higher death rate. And Kenya and India have a high birth rate and a low death rate. This makes the population increase. After we talked about the diagram we got our books from our locker, so we could do our homework because all we had to do in class was look at the map.
